There are certain questions that we are asked quite often. The following are the most frequently asked.

If you don't find what you're looking for, please feel free to e-mail us at: jeweltones@musician.org.

Does your group have a recording for sale?  We are pleased to announce that we will begin working on a full-length CD in March of 2008.  We have been so flattered by all of the requests we've received from people wanting to purchase a CD, and we are very excited about getting back into the recording studio this Spring.  In the meantime, our demo CD is still available for those wishing to hear a sample of our sound, or you can hear it on this website by going back to the Home Page and clicking on the link provided.

Do you ever hold auditions for new Jeweltones?  We are a non-audition group.

How much do you charge to perform?  Our fee varies, depending on the venue, the length of the program, whether or not live musicians accompany us or we use accompaniment CDs, and whether or not the program has to be customized with new music.   Anyone wishing to hire us, should contact our booking partner, Amalia LaViolette, at 636-225-5831, or e-mail us at jeweltones@musician.org for a quote.

How did you meet?  Some of us have known each other longer than others, but the event that brought all five of us together was a community theatre production of Noel Coward's operetta, Bitter Sweet, produced by the Hawthorne Players.   We were cast as best friends in that show, and we became very close during the process.  The director had actually chosen us partly because of the way our voices blended together, so it was very natural for us to continue looking for ways to sing together.  We eventually decided we wanted to put together a full-length concert for family and friends, which we performed in Spring of 2003.  To our delight, the concert was so popular that we started getting requests to keep performing it, and we have been working ever since.

When will you have a new full-length program?  We recently unveiled a brand new two-hour concert at Kirkwood United Church of Christ.  The concert was free and was "standing room only!"  The performance featured all new music, and the folks at Kirkwood UCC were so pleased that they invited us back in December to perform our holiday program.  The newest two-hour program was performed again at Community Christian Church, and we are in negotiations to perform it again later this year.

If my organization hires you to perform, do we have to use the full two-hour concert?  Absolutely not.  We can tailor our shows to meet your individual needs.  Typically, our shows can range anywhere from 45-minutes to two hours with a 15-minute intermission.
